Set up your preferences for easy access 

Adding databases to My Library 

You can create shortcuts to bibliographic databases, e.g. Scopus or CAB abstracts. These shortcuts will be listed in 'My Databases'.

  1. Select a bibliographic database in Library Database Finder.
  2. Go to 'More info' and activate 'Add to My Databases'.
  3. It will be added to your alphabetically ordered list with 'My Databases'.
  4. You can easily remove a database by using the 'remove' option. 

Adding shortcuts to My Favourites 

You can create shortcuts for articles, books and journals in My Library. These shortcuts will be listed in 'My Favourites'.

Several options are available: 

* via WUR Library Search, the Library's catalogue

  1. Search for the article, book or journal title that you want to add.
  2. Open the publication details of the publication you are interested in.
  3. Click on the WUR Library Get It! Link on the right
  4. Choose 'Add to My favourites'.
  5. The resource is added to your list of shortcuts now, ordered alphabetically per document type (e.g. Article, Journal, Monograph).
  6. You can access the resource via this list in My Library now. 

* via any other source that supports our WUR Library Get It! Link (e.g. Scopus, Google Scholar, PubMed, etc.)

  1. Select a publication in, e.g. Scopus.
  2. Go to the WUR Library Get It! Link and click on 'Add to My favourites'.
  3. The article will be added to your list of shortcuts.

 

 

Setting up My Journal Alerts 

From selected journals, you will receive the Table of Contents of each new issue, with links to the full text. You can subscribe to the ToC alert service for more than 5,000 journals in the following way: 

  1. Select a journal in A-Z list of digital journals or in WUR Library Search.
    ! Note that only journals WUR Library subscribes to can be added.
  2. Click on WUR Library Get It! Link and click on 'Add this journal to My Journal alerts' on the right side.
  3. The journal will be added to your alphabetically ordered list with 'My Journal Alerts'.
  4. You will receive a Table of Contents for each new issue. 
  5. You can easily remove a journal by using the 'remove' option. 

 

 

What is My Study Programme Databases?

In this tile, you'll find a list of the most important subject-specific bibliographic databases for your current study programme. If you start a specialisation or a different study programme, you'll notice that the selection changes accordingly.

These databases are not the only important ones throughout your studies. In the tile My Databases, you can find the most used multi-disciplinary databases, as well as some other useful resources for students.

All other databases can be browsed and accessed through the Library Database Finder.

My loans & reservations

To see and manage your current loans and reservations, you go to your account in WUR Library Search.

Books you borrow are renewed automatically: up to 3 times for students and up to 10 times for staff, unless someone else makes a reservation. Read this article for more information on borrowing books

Off-campus access for WUR staff and students

Additionally, when WUR staff and students log in to MyLibrary with their WUR account, they'll have off-campus access to licenced resources through the Library website, including online books, journals, and databases.  

Automatic login My Library within the WUR network

When you are logged into a computer within the WUR network, you're automatically logged into 'My Library'. 

Document ordering for WUR staff and students

If you want to request books or photocopies of journal articles, first, you must log in to My Library. Moreover, you must be registered as a borrower at WUR Library. WUR staff and students are registered automatically. The email address that you use to log in to My Library and the one in the Library's administration must be the same.
